RX -100 (old but still young)

"people say 4 strokes move your body but 2 strokes moves your soul"

we still have great machines in this four stroke era that offer great riding experience but two strokes are pure love. legendary bikes like rx -100 only come across once in a life time. it was the king of two - stroke
Their is no substitute for this beautiful machine .19s or 20s a legend is always a legend. Most of the bike enthusiasts  are still waiting for the relaunch of this bike from Yamaha because of its powerful and ageless design.
The Yamaha RX100 was launched in November 1985 and continued to be until March 1996. The government's decision to discontinue all two-stroke motorcycles ended the reign of the Yamaha RX100 in India. It has achieved fame that no other bike in India has ever been able to achieve. the bike came powered by two stroke air-cooled with single cylinder 98 cc engine with gasoline 7/4 torque induction system. the bike gives maximum power of 11 BHP at 7500 RPM and a  max torque of 10.39 NM at 6500 RPM and came with a four speed gear box. The suspension was perfectly sprung and ideally damned.
The spoke wheels with 18 inch tires and both ends of a superb high speed stability. The  short wheel base of 12 ,40 mm . It makes the bike extremely agile and quick to flicker, making the bike completely delightful while  cruising through city traffic. During the old days the bike's on road cost was 19000

The RX 100 mileage was less than that of its rivals, it returned just roughly 35-43 Kmpl. RX 100 was offered in three colors, red, blue and silver. Braking duties were carried out by drum brakes on both the front and the rear ends. Yamaha RX 100 weighed just 103 KG and had a fuel tank size of 10.5 liters.
The organization also claimed a time of 7.5 seconds between 0 and 60 km/h. In addition, the Yamaha RX100 was not only reliable but also inexpensive, making it available to many.
The performance and reliability aspect has made it a winner in the eyes of enthusiasts. In reality, the Yamaha RX100 became one of India's best-selling two-stroke machines before it was replaced by the RX-G.
It gives us the clear glimpse  of the authentic and flawless  Japanese engineering at its best .The bike  also features Yamaha YEIS  (YAMAHA ENERGY INDUCTION SYSTEM) wherein a small  bottle called juice bottle is installed between the carburetor and the intake port connected with a branch pipe this allows the engine to respond instantly to throttle input without any missing . when we come to the exhaust sound ,by saying the name itself  we can hear that beautiful sound in our heart.

After all this you may think why Yamaha discontinued this  beast ?

The RX 100 discontinued because of the pollution norms of that time and many two-stroke vehicles were banned .

what if Yamaha relaunch RX 100 ?

If Yamaha is now releasing the RX 100, it will have to comply with stringent emission requirements. A modern four-stroke engine would be needed to meet these requirements, and the four-stroke engines will never equal the raw punch provided by the two-stroke engine. the company haven't shown any signs.
Hope they would revive this legendary bike once again, but this time it will be in Indian market with all new features that  this generation bike's have .but the matter is that we will not get the same feel that the old model use to have.

 fact

RX 100's engine was opened and checked before many competitions & races. People just couldn't believe how powerful this pint-sized rocket was. Even, at the time, there was a lot of rumor that it had a bigger engine than what is being sold. There have been occasions of the engine block being opened and tested by the race officials and the drivers to ensure that it was a 100cc engine.

stay tuned for more and if you like this blog please give it a thumbs up don’t forget to comment your favorite bike and also give us your valuable suggestion through the comment so that we can make quality content for you.😀
